My daughter has Fibromyalgia and has taken quite a few medications. Since exercise is beneficial and she always had an interest in kick boxing she decided on Krav a self defense course which uses a combination of many techniques.
She has stuck with it and finds it helps her aches and pains to the point where she was able to get off medications.
She just earned her first belt which is white.
I have a blue one from back in the 50s.
All kidding aside I'm very proud of her.
Here are photos of both our belts. Wendy and belt.jpgblue garter belt.jpg

How lovely, Ruth!

Big congratulations to your daughter! And a big congratulations to you, mom, on such a beautiful daughter!

ROFLMAO, about your blue belt!

What does your daughter think of you having a belt that's a few colours ahead of her, Ruth? :giggle:

I am so happy to see people finding relief from their ills with exercise! (y)

Not so long ago my health issues were piling up to the point where I just accepted my dependence on medications, and that my life was slipping away. Movement is medicine, great for body and soul. I know people with Fibromyalgia, with MS and other debilitating conditions.
Whenever I get a chance I preach the value of exercise.
