My First Sale of the Year

Here's another one - I put this McCoy vase on Marketplace and the person wanted me to deliver it to them claiming they don't have a car. I mean...they are buying vases when they should be saving for a car? Really???

The problem with that is Deb won't ship, even when customer is willing to pay shipping.
Take whatever you want to ship to a UPS store and they will pack it snd ship it for one price. I have used their service and was very satisfied. I sent my favorite niece a beautiful cuckoo clock from Germany, it was handmade and UPS handled the whole thing. Yes, it’s pricey, but it got to her in 1 piece, well 3 pieces because a few parts needed put on, and in only 3 days. I had to write out the label and sign papers stating that it didn’t contain any flammable liquids, drugs or illegal contraband.

I have given away items for free online and people asked me to deliver. Ugh!!
I might deliver if she lived locally, but according to her statement, she lives in a place about 25 miles away (50 round trip). She also didn't offer to reimburse me for time and gas. I'm not that desperate to sell with the community-wide sale coming up. If they can't come to me, it's their loss.

Customers won’t be willing to pay for this and they sometimes falsely claim that the item arrived broken, etc. I totally understand why Deb won’t ship unless she knows the person well.

I have a pink Dugan Glass bird bowl, but I like that myself, so it isn't for sale at the moment.

Do you or anyone reading this post have any Cambridge glassware they would be willing to sell? I would prefer if it was signed.
You can tell by looking on the bottom of the piece and if there is a Capital ‘C’ inside a triangle, that’s Cambridge glass. Some people call it “carnival glass.” Cambridge Glass is not carnival glass.

Here are a few pictures of my personal glass collection. I am not a collector, but if a piece comes along that catches my eye and I think it would go well with my collection, I will make an offer, but I don’t go looking in antique stores. You can learn more about Cambridge Glass by clicking here: Cambridge Glass

My apologies. The pictures didn’t show very well, so I took them down. The poor lighting in the curio cabinet doesn’t do the pieces justice compared to what they look like in person.

I sold some Cambridge glass over the years. One was the 'Wildflower' pattern sugar and creamer and 'Forks" cracker jar :

I still have these, but not for sale - 'Apple Blossom' compote and a 'Rose Point' cruet (stopper missing). I don't think these are marked with the C.

deb, I'd love to go to your sales but I'm too far away. I know I'd make purchases.

For some odd reason, I like two handled sugar bowls or spooners or whatever they are. I have one I keep silverware in on the counter.

I got this at a local thrift store a few months ago. It's a large biscuit jar. I like the cherry pattern.
