My former residence is on the market

You could post pics of how that house looked when you sold it. That way those that haven't seen the way it looked before would have a way to compare.

I liked the way it used to look, but I'm sure the renovations were needed and will be appreciated when in use by whoever buys it. But it was so quaint and cute before, I miss that.

They're having an open house this Sunday. I thought the price was high, too. Good luck to them getting that in this locale. At least if someone shells out half a million, they're going to keep it up. It makes me sad to look at the photos, though, and I don't know why. They did put an incredible amout of effort and probably hundreds of thousands of dollars into it.

Are you going to the Open House to check it out in person?

WOW...OMG!!! that couldn't be more different.... who knew someone could have made it look so beautiful.. this is what you could have had Deb if only you'd had the money and the resources to do it...

My gosh..I can't get over that change.. !!
It would be interesting to know how much was spent taking the house from unlivable [for most people] to the way it looks now. I think Deb sold it for 140K

The person that bought it is a contractor that specializes in Victorian restorations. His wife is and interior decorator. Even if I did have it re-done, it was still a house that was getting too large for me. I was basically living in two rooms and using the kitchen. Most of the rest was just storage for all I inherited from my parents. It looks like they gutted it. My mom's bedroom is now the kitchen. They painted the corner cupboards brown and replaced all the vintage lighting. It's like a fusion house between Victorian and modern. I am wondering what my parents would think if they could see it now.

All I can say is that it is someone else's house now and they are entitled to do what they want with it. They did pay me $5000 over the asking price.
