He must have been very young when he was your teacher .
I just presume that all my teachers have passed.
There's a big facebook page for my school and pupils from my year.... and none of the teachers have come into say Hi... even tho' just about all of them have been mentioned.... so I just imagine they've all gone now!

My favorite high school teacher, who taught science, passed away almost 2 years ago.
I attended his funeral and met his wife and eldest son. I think he was 86. He died from a heart attack.
He was fresh out of college when he came to our school.

My science teacher passed away recently.. I think he was 81 years old.
One of the principals (whom everyone despised, horrible guy) is still alive.. he became principal shortly before my brother graduated in 1965. I don't know when he eventually left/retired, but was still principal when my youngest started Kindergarten in 1995.
