My Heating Oil Supplier is Retiring

The man I was buying heating oil from since I moved in my new house 2 years ago, is retiring and he's sold his business to another fuel supplier who is 60 miles away. These are the people that are supposed to handle any heating emergencies now. The only other relatively close heating oil merchant was who I was buying from at my old house. I wanted to continue with them, but when they inspected my heating system in the new house, the technician said I needed them to install a new fuel tank and copper tubing which was bull $hi+. So I started buying fuel from the service that the former owner used. He had no problem with my heating system.

Our oil guy died two years ago... we were on auto delivery and he didn't come as the tank got lower and lower and no one was answering the phone. Called another place and they said they'd bought out his business when he died and they already had us on auto with *their* company. Sounded weird that there was no notification... but no matter because the new place has been doing great. Anyhow, I hope this works out okay for you, Deb... nasty time of year to be uncertain about oil delivery!
