My new succulents. I can't find the name of one of them.

While I was at Walmart picking out my seeds for this years veggie garden I noticed a huge assortment of succulents across the aisle.. They all looked so cute in their tiny pots about the size of a thimble. I couldn't resist.
Walmart just had succulents on the label so when I got home I did a little research on the care and varieties. I was surprised to find so many. I was able to identify 2 of them but the third, I have no idea.
They were already pot bound so I loosened the roots, and put them in potting soil with a bit of sand mixed in. I read to resist the urge to water them in and put stones around the base so the leaves don't rot.
We will see what happens.

Anyone have any idea what the 3rd plant is that has red on the underside of the leaves? I'm beginning to think it really isn't a succulent. The leaves aren't fleshy like the others.3 plants (1024x768).jpgplant 1 (1024x768).jpg

Could it be peperomia verticillata?
Thank you Keesha, I think you found it. I looked at other photos online and it certainly looks like it. Camper6 I will certainly check that app out. I'm sure I will be lured into buying many more plants I like but no nothing about. I can't help myself when I get in the plant department.

Oh good. You’re welcome. ❤️
My husband has that app that Camper mentioned and it works really well. I don’t have that app loaded on my phone but want to. It’s so helpful.

The one on the right end, looks like one of the many varieties of Kalanchoe.

The one on the left looks like one, with nickname commonly called Mexican Hat plant. I cannot remember the actual name.

No idea what the center one might be.

Please Note that I will re-read the entire thread, when feeling more able to, and then, I might see that the questions might have been already answered, and be better replies than mine!:ROFLMAO:

Now that I have come back, and read this thread more carefully and slowly,
I do see that I was totally wrong...about the one on the left... Not a 'Hat plant!':rolleyes::confused::giggle:

It is not the one I suggested, and does look like the one that Keesha found for you! (y)

What is the middle one?

Those look like adorable finds, all 3 of them. I would love for you to tell us, later on, how they do for you.

The one on the left is the one Keesha identified, the middle one is Kalachoe Humilis also called Desert Surprise. The end one is Kalanchoe Tomentosa, common name is the Panda plant, at least thats what I think they are.
I hope they grow. Watering seems to be the tricky part.

I love the pretty pots you have them in Ruth!

One year, I bought 5 or 6 little bitty succulents, and planted them in a shallow, wide, round clay pot. It was a pretty garden! I knew one was a tiny aloe.

Finally, it became so big and crowed I had to repot, but only the aloe which then became gigantic, fell over on itself and ended up in the woods. I also repotted this, which did very well for a long time......

Haworthia attenuata
It's so hard not to over-water. I don't remember how often I did, but it was so much less than my other plants. Also they were in a bay window which faced south; sun all day..
