My sweet Jazz is not doing well.

Shes 16 and has been struggling for some time with health issues and has now started refusing to eat. Not a good sign. She’s so old, but up until recently, in spite of compromised health, has been pretty spry, so this is difficult. We’re heading to the vet this morning.

Please send all the good mojo her way that she gets through this latest episode. I would dearly love a little more time with her.

Well the news isn’t great about my sweet girlie. Her kidneys are failing, as a result of her other health issues creating too much toxicity for her little body to fight off. She’s lost 20% of her body weight, which at only about 3 pounds at her best weight, doesn’t give her any reserves to draw from.

She was given sub q fluids, a B12 shot, and she’s on a course of strong antibiotics. With my daughter Paige’s help, she’ll get sub q fluids routinely to help keep her system flushed out.

This treatment is hopefully going to buy her more time. The next week or two will determine how much. But for the moment she’s eating some again, and managed a short romp around the garden, more alert than she’s been in over a week, so that was heartening! 💕

Please continue to send her all the good mojo, and let’s see if we can extend her life comfortably, for at least a little longer. 🐾
 

Sending loving thoughts and prayers your way. This is the toughest part of having lovable fur babies. Wishing you two some happy memorable moments.
 
this is Pixie she's our 14 year old.... She's got heart problems but she's still very spry...
