My very first visit.....

to a Podiatrist. In my 80 years I had never been to one. Trying to cut my toenails is like watching a pot bellied pig cut his. Just can’t do it because my back and hips say no way. Went up to the VA this afternoon and had them cut and trimmed. They were disgusting to look at and getting real sore. Now, they are still sore but so purty to look at.

I've been going to those girls for the last several years. They do things (TO MY TOENAILS) that I never even thought about.

I always hope to get a girl with a low cut top and a nice rack.

I went for my physical and the doc said "We have to do something about the toe nails!" I think she was offended by the imbalance. I can get my right foot on my left knee no prob. But with the arthritis FORGET about my left foot.

So would a pedicure cost less than a visit to a Podiatrist?

I gave up on doing my own toenails back before I got my hips replaced. Even with the new hips, arthritis makes it almost impossible (not to mention painful) to do it myself. I've been going to a nail salon to get them done for almost 7 years now.

I think Medicare covers visits to the podiatrist. I got mine done at the VA and there might be a co-pay. Feet are a Little sore this morning. Had some nasty ingrown toenails. Butterfly, I know the feeling. I have one of those gadgets that slide my socks on and my shoes have Velcro straps.

I can relate. For Christmas this year I'm going to ask for a hacksaw. Besides being useful to cut my toenails, I can use it around the house.
