in the 70s, my Dad used to take us to this well known Cheese Shop in NYC.
Had amazing cheeses. Also, a restaurant upstairs. They did a fondue with a wonderful emmenthaler with some Kirsch...
and this amazing french onion soup, with a huge mound of melted cheese on top.
Stilton, gorgonzola...all kinds of wonderful things at the shop downstairs and in the restaurant upstairs.
