National Corn On The Cob Day - June 11th

In the past, we'd buy a couple dozen..fresh..from the farm we knew had good..just been picked... bring home..
Shuck...blanch...freeze..
Have fresh c-o-t-c all summer, fall & winter.
 
Where I’m moving to……there has always been the same farmer parked in the Canadian Tire parking lot every year, with fresh produce for sale.
When I quit having a garden…..an hour drive was a pleasure to buy their produce…..all so yummy.
Their corn is as good as what I used to grow…..they never picked old…..always a bit on the younger side, same as when I picked mine.
My favourite to grow was called White Knight……I don’t remember the names of theirs, I have it written down somewhere, but equally tasteful.

So guess what I’ll be buying when they start selling….will be very soon.
Now, that I will be living there…..and only 3 blocks away…..can get farm fresh produce whenever I want…..look out corn on the cob…..here I come.
