I'll pass on that one.
I used to be one who was quick to forgive, and when I think about why I forgave everyone, it comes down to self-esteem. I believed I deserved to be treated poorly, so those who did so should be forgiven. My quick to forgive ethos has not served me well throughout my life. Now I neither forgive nor forget, unless of course, the person who wronged me is remorseful; then they're quickly forgiven. All it takes is one sincere "sorry."
