National Espresso Day - November 23rd

good morning @GAlady. I hope you won't be insulted, but I'm gonna skip espresso. That stuff is so strong that it would keep me awake from now until Christmas!

Curious do you live on my side of the city (west) or the other side (east)?

i have a sister who is hypersensitive to caffeine in any form: Coffee, sodas, chocolate, the few teas that have caffeine (Celestial Seasonings has one 'Morning Thunder' 8 oz of which has more caffeine than most coffees.

We're actually only half sisters--different Moms, but weirdly i'm the one that inherited Dad's tolerance of caffeine, able to consume all day long in it's strongest forms and doesn't impact sleep. The downside of that is it's useless if one wants to stay awake for some reason.

i first had Expresso when about 13. My Mom was dating a Hungarian refugee (whom she later married briefly) and we would sometimes go out to European style restaurants in NJ with him and other Hungarians. They also introduced me to alcohol, and i particularly liked Dark Beers. Drinking in supervised setting at that age--i learned when to 'stop' sooner, easier than most young people who don't drink till away from parents.

My wife's kids bought me a small espresso machine- love it! I haven't used the frothing feature yet, might have to read the manual.
