My niece and I stopped in at a coffee shop while in New York City about 5 years ago, we asked the Barista what was his best gourmet coffee, not necessarily his most expensive. He suggested Franklin’s Finest, so I tried a cup, but my niece decided to go with Gevalia. My coffee was too dark, which I don’t care for. I prefer medium roast. I had a Biscotti with it, but it didn’t help. One thing for sure was that it really jacked me up.
The Barista was a very cool guy with an Italian accent. He made the coffee at our table using a coffee press. That was interesting to watch. It got him a nice tip. My niece commented to me, “Do you always leave a 75% tip?” I told her no, I was just try to impress her. She got a good laugh out of it.
