I asked for a hot dog

With everything on it,

And that was my big mistake,

‘Cause it came with a parrot,

A bee in a bonnet,

A wristwatch, a wrench, and a rake.

It came with a goldfish,

A flag, and a fiddle,

A frog, and a front porch swing,

And a mouse in a mask —

That’s the last time I ask

For a hog dog with everything.

I like the occasional hot dog or two (mustard only unless it's a chili dog) but there is no way that I could even come close to putting down 63 in ten minutes like Joey Chestnut did on July 4th or the female champ that was able to eat 40.

A coney or a mixed double with chocolate milk is a summertime favorite.

When I was a kid the chocolate milk came in 1/3 quart glass bottles with a paper cap.

I've been on a hot dog kick the past several weeks. I like Oscar Mayer angus beef hot dogs on a bun, with brown mustard, sweet relish, chopped onions, chopped jalepeños, and halved grape tomatoes. Yummy!

I made a big pot of chili with beans yesterday with the intention of making chili dogs (hot dogs with added chili on top.} Well, we don't have any weiners. And we made our weekly run to the grocery store already ~ yesterday. I am freezing some of the chili; maybe we'll have chili dogs next week.

When I lived in Adelaide, South Australia - there were people set up with a hibachi in parking lots, selling hot dogs (called 'sausages') wrapped in white bread. No mustard, no relish, or other condiments.

Oh, man.... yuck. The smell of bologna makes me nauseated.
