That picture reminds me of one occasion when I was working in Amsterdam. Two Americans at the bar asked for "Irish coffee" and the barman served up basically what was shown in the picture. I said to him that what he served wasn't proper Irish coffee, and he replied that they were American and wouldn't know any better
.
The original picture looks like the real thing. I occasionally have "Gaelic coffee" which is made with Scotch, not whiskey.

I love a Nutty Irishman after dinner on occasion.
Bailey's Irish Cream over ice in a lowball glass,
splash of Frangelica,
float a dop of Godiva Chocolate Liqueur over top.
Stir and sip. Delicious.
