National Waffle Iron Day - June 29th

Is there actually an assigned job for someone to come up with this stuff? Or do people in prison come up with these absurd national days?

I would guess it's some marketing people in the corporate world that come up with these National 'whatever' Days. Oddly enough, I've never eaten a waffle. Pancakes yes; waffles no. Perhaps I should try one sometime :unsure:
