Need a new couch

We need a new couch and since we don't want to risk going to a showroom, we'll probably buy one online. I don't really know anything about couch brands, so maybe people here can help.

We just want something comfortable -- maybe down filled, and it needs to be somewhat durable because we have a 70 pound dog who gets on the couch, although he's well past the teething stage. I guess our price range is $1000 - $1500.

Any suggestions?

If what you have now suits your lifestyle them maybe looking online like R R posted would be a beginning. Be aware that length matters so check the space you have in case you find something that is in your price range but a different style. If what you have now has been durable check under the couch there maybe a brand name tag on your couch.

I’d be wary about buying online ......I say this because we bought a new leather corner lounge about 12 months ago ,We tried allot before deciding and found allot had very narrow seats and not very deep, so they we’re uncomfortable just sitting on them for 5 mins, or far to low for people our age

Do you belong to Costco? They have good return policies.

Furniture stores aren’t busy like grocery stores. If you could go early in the morning or late in the afternoon, you could do some testing. Bring along a couple of large towels or sheets that you could set on the couches you want to try so you avoid contact.

With a dog, leather likely isn’t a good option. Down is expensive.

Best wishes in finding your new couch. I, too, have been contemplating getting one as mine is nearly 20 years old and starting to show it's age and the cushions are getting too thin now. I would worry, though, about people carrying it in here huffing and puffing with the virus going around...just the way I think since the virus hit us all.
