Netflix Starting To Crack Down

Don’t shoot the messenger. I’m starting to read of the changes.

These new terms ask people to define a primary location through their TV. All the accounts and devices should be connected to the same Wi-Fi as the TV.

“A primary location is set by a TV that is signed into your account and is connected to your Wi-Fi network. All other devices signed into your account on that Wi-Fi network will be associated with your primary location and will be able to use Netflix,” it says.

To ensure that your devices are associated with your primary location, connect to the Wi-Fi at your primary location, open the Netflix app or website, and watch something at least once every 31 days,” the company says on its support page.

Will this affect anyone here? Will you pay for a new account if you’re piggybacking on someone else’s account.

I was asked by my bank if I was subscribing to Netflix in France. I replied "I couldn't even afford the fare to France, much less Netflix"

So that had me change my cards. Other than that, I'm looking at prime video.

A recent convert to Netflix, as the primary account holder I’m allowed to watch Netflix offerings on my TV as my primary location plus as many devices as I care to, using their apps. I don’t know about people who would “piggyback” on my account, as there will never be any. I have the basic plan with ads, which goes for $6.99 a month and includes video games. So far I am quite happy with it, and for my tastes regard the content as superior to Amazon Prime. Just my opinion…
