The Boulder Police Department is not giving up its decades-long investigation into the murder of JonBenet Ramsey. Days ahead of the 29th anniversary of her death, the department released an update on the unsolved case.
"Last year we gave you an update about a lot of the work that has been done to solve this crime and those efforts have continued," BPD Chief Stephen Redfearn said in a statement shared on Friday, December 12. "This case remains a top priority for our department."
Redfearn continued, "This past year, our detectives have conducted several new interviews as well as re-interviewed individuals based on tips we’ve received. We have also collected new evidence and tested and re-tested other pieces of evidence to generate new leads. Techniques and technology constantly evolve. This is especially true with technology related to DNA testing."
I never thought the parents did it even when the police pushed that theory for years. It never made sense. That baby was so loved and spoiled rotten. No one kills their kid over bed wetting, especially when there were no signs of abuse prior to the murder. I hope one day they will solve it, but the previous detectives blew the case early on.
