New here in the UK, 'The Last Ship'

Watched almost all of the first episode of The Last Ship last night. What rubbish, the usual lazy dialogue and predictable action and cardboard characters.The only surprise was the first death on board wasn't called Kawalski ( have noticed that in US dramas the first people to be killed have this name, either that or they are amusing characters) could this be because they are Canadian?Just as all Germans are bad characters, and not just in war films, and ditto British , unless they are amusing toffs, or amusing Cockneys.Sometimes they are
sinister Cockneys for a change.

Haven't heard of it. Now I'll know not to watch. I have zero tolerance for bad writing, bad acting, predictable stories.
