I'm happy to have found this group! I'm a female; in 3 years, I'll be 80.
Just diagnosed with osteoporosis. Doctor wanted me to start on Prolia. After a LOT of research, I declined to do so and will investigate other options that don't come with severe side effects. The doc is not happy that I'm not doing what he told me to do. However, it's my body--not his--and I will stick with my decision.
Interested in hearing others' experience with issues pertaining to aging and health.
Thank you!

Howdy Mickey. So glad that you have found us. We are a pretty nice group. I'm a Canadian from Manitoba; the middle of the country. We're not sexy like BC, Florida or California but we're good. Love it where I live. A lot of nice folks, fresh air, not too many people & wide, open country places where you can breath good air. I'm not here every day but when I show up I always seem to have a lot to say. LOL

Welcome, Mickey!
I agree with you, that it's good to take the doctor's info and advising into consideration, but then to find more details and perspectives, and to make a decision that we each feel is right for us.
