I am learning a new way to write in the twenty first century. My first question is, if this is twenty thirteen why do they say it's the twenty first century without the (o), two thousand and two for twenty first century? In my day we learned rote and memorization. It is said in todays writings the reader should interpret the writers thoughts with the writers words what the writer meant by them and it gets complicated after that . Todays writers use words like flow, structured sentencing, interpret etc.
Anyone who writes must memorize some words and there meanings plus how to place them in the e-mail. Oh gosh, I just said a rote way of writing in the twenty first century! Has writing and reading changed that much in writing in sixty four years right? To this day I do not know about or care about verbs nouns and predicates, the word predicate sounds like a bad word to me. but I do understand words, word placement, there meanings and sentence structuring. The now tell me the word DUH! is not a word but a icon.
Oh the joy of old age. I remember the first T.V. Roy Rogers, Gene Autry and the shadow knows. Now we use emotion cons are apps yet. Thoughts please. Paul
