How do you spend New Year’s Eve, do you party and celebrate with family and friends, stay at home and quietly contemplate what is coming your way in 2019 or just go to bed as usual ? :cheers1:

Ended up accepting the invitations to a couple parties

Folks out this way tend to kick it up pretty good

I don’t

I’m a sipper

So, I’m selective

The first was helping tend a bonfire
They’re only a mile or so from our cabin, so my lady and I walked

Sharing stories
He’s an ex alky
Several years now
so, no beverages with 'content'

Good man
Good woman too
Good cabin, but we stayed outside
They only come up a couple three times a year during hunting season
…and, apparently, New Years

Quite the fire

After that, we walked the two miles to some folks we’ve come to adore
Little drinking, toasting
A good time

It was good to get back to the cabin, as it was in the single digits and the walk was brisk
Somehow refreshing, walking under the stars

Celebrated the New Year with an open fire while cuddled

Can’t think of a better time
