I got a kick out of some of those store signs:
Chop Suey
C. Leong Laundry
Finkelstein Machinery Company
Elm Young, Genuine Chinese Cooking
Cut Rate 5¢ and 10¢ Store
Jerry and Frank Meat Market
Neapoleton Macaroni Company (spell checker questioned the spelling of the 1st word )

I lived in New York City (mainly Brooklyn & Manhattan), for 15 years. But I still consider it my hometown.

I'm originally from Albany and the mom/pop pizzerias in NYC are incredible plus hot dog vendors and yes I eat street hot dogs , lol .

Do you have a New Yawk city accent ?

Well I was born in upstate New York. But I can still detect a Bronx and Brooklyn accent in some people. Especially a Bronx accent.
