I saw the daycare fentanyl overdose story or actually poisoning/killing of a 1 year old. They found drug dealer paraphernalia or a drug press used to package drugs on site. A couple other kids were given narcan.
Basically a pos drug dealer using the daycare as a front for their illegal drug business.

From NYC as well. Vandals break 97 windows on 45 trains. Some service had to be temporarily halted. Since it's infrastructure the culprits should probably be charged with some kind of terror crime.

NYC was once a safe, vibrant and exciting place to spend a summer weekend. Plenty to do and enjoy. The last time I went to NY was about 2 years ago and it seemed everything went 180 degrees. I saw things going on that I had only ever heard happened and some of what I was told I doubted actually happened. Boy, was I ever wrong. Things have changed.
NYC needs a new Governor like when Giuliani was in charge. Don’t want to be political, but I don’t know what party he was, but I do know NYC was a good place to spend a weekend, especially if I took a friend, if you know what I mean.

I'm posting this just like 99% of my usual threads and post. The news, just the news and nothing but the news, no more no less. IMHO comments and editorials on a news story may have a tendency to reflect the posters feelings and/or mindset which may or may not be accurate. I also reviewed the forums TOS and I don't see my thread as being a violation. If so please report my thread to the site owner or moderator. Thanks for posting and enjoy your Sunday.

New York City has a mayor, not a governor. As a New Yorker, I am perfectly okay with our governor, and don't want to see the likes of that Rudy guy ever again. I lived in New York City for 15 years. Although it is one of my 2 favorite cities (London being the other), we always had crime there, especially in the 70's and 80's, when I lived there. No matter of much you like living in a big city, crime is something that you have to accept. But you have to try to stay alert and safe and avoid it.
