I'm a 56 year old former research manager at a Fortune 500 Company that recently retired from Corporate America to become an entrepreneur.
I've been married to the same great lady for over 34 years now and have three grown professional children, 30,28 and 26. None of them are currently married and my wife and I are hoping that one of them will give us some grandbabies to spoil before too long.

I'm living in the frozen North, here in the Detroit Subs, having moved here from the East Coast in 1985. I've grown to love the state and wouldn't move back to Joizey for all of the tea in China.

I'm a fanatical bass fisherman, but don't have a boat. When asked why, I tell people "I fish too much to have a boat." I couldn't imagine towing a boat to my favorite fishing spot and launching it just about every day from late April until November. Besides, I love to walk and typically cover 2-5 miles/day while shorefishing.

I also enjoyed building cars and drag racing with my son until recently when we both decided that, while starting a new company, we couldn't serve two masters, so we sold our car, trailer and tow vehicle.

I guess that'll do for starters. I look forward to chatting with all of you.

Thanks to both of you.
Ozarkgal, didn't I just read a post of yours about you living near a silica mine? Was it, by chance, a Coleman mine?

Bikeman..I don't know much about the mine, except what they mine. Is Coleman the company that owns the mine? I could try to find out.

Just curious. I was at an 18 day gem and mineral show acrossed from the "Ron Coleman Mining Company" quartz display. And while walking around other Tucsan shows, I ran across the "Jim Coleman Mining Company" booth. Both are located in Arkansas. One was selling a giant quartz cluster for $625,000.
