Newly retired attorney in Sin City

And going slowly broke! Retired in July and moved from the armpit of the southwest to Las Vegas!

Little place called Artesia, New Mexico. Half way between Carlsbad and Roswell. Nothing there but wind and a Walmart! Everything else was 4 hours away. If I'm going to live in a desert, make it Las Vegas!
 

I taught at the Border Patrol Academy. But, with all the oil and mining, I'm sure the attorneys in town kept busy.

I taught law to the Border Patrol trainees for 7 years and for 22 years I was mainly employed in the prosecution division for Oklahoma City. I guess you could say mainly criminal law for the guys wearing the white hats.

Just to let you know that I'm thrilled I found this forum. Was feeling like I was the only senior running around (AND I know I'm not!) Thanks for the welcome...vacation city huh?
 
Thanks. My dad was a pilot as well. It seems to be a really good forum. You just can't talk to kids these days (Wait!Wait! didn't my parents say that as well?) and have them understand you.
 
In short, I've been law enforcement almost since graduation from law school. Cop lawyer for about 22 years. retired. yeah! then went to work for the Border Patrol for the last 7. I've now had two of those "take this job and shove it!" days and was able to retire both times.

AND I lived south of Philly for 4 years in Willingboro (formerly Levittown) in high school.
 
Guess who was born in Wisconsin (Superior) and lived in Hayward, WI for two years taking care of my mom. How's the weather up there. It was a balmy 65 here today!
 
Welcome Mporta...from London England.:D..no you're not the only 'senior' running around...although we're all over 50 here, not everyone is retired..yet but we all get along just fine, hope you enjoy the forum I think you will.. :welcome:
