I just replaced my Tower Air fryer with the Cosori last week at a cost of £110.... and now it's in the list of potentially inflammable model numbers..

Cossori as only that you email them or call them with a picture of the Machine you've bought, no return or receipt necessary and they will refund you in full..

Two million Cosori air fryers are being recalled after their wire connections caused hundreds of them to overheat and catch fire.

The air fryers, which were sold in the U.S., Canada and Mexico, are a fire risk, according to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission.

The company has received 205 reports of air fryers catching fire, burning, melting, overheating or smoking.

There have been ten reports of minor burns and 23 reports of minor property damage, the agency said.

The CPSC announced the recall on Thursday with the agency warning consumers that they should stop using the air fryers immediately.

MailOnline has found two of the recalled models were available on the UK Amazon site.

The air fryer with model number CP158-AF is on amazon.co.uk for £114.51. Cosori's model number CO137-AF is also on the UK site for £98.98. Both models appear to have been available to buy since July 20, 2022.

The recall involves multiple model numbers in 3.7-quart and 5.8-quart sizes.

The model numbers are printed on the bottom label of each unit and on the user manual.

All of the units have the Cosori brand name on the front.

The air fryers were sold between June 2018 and December 2022 in Best Buy, Target and Home Depot stores and online at Amazon, Walmart and other retailers.

They cost between $70 and $130.

About 250,000 air fryers in Canada and 21,000 air fryers in Mexico have also been recalled.

This recall involves Cosori air fryers with model numbers CP158-AF, CP158-AF-R19, CP158-AF-RXW, CP158-AF-RXR, CAF-P581-BUSR, CAF-P581-AUSR, CAF-P581-RUSR, CP137-AF, CP137-AF-RXB, CP137-AF-RXR, CP137-AF-RXW, CS158-AF, CS158-AF-RXB, CS158-AF-R19, CAF-P581S-BUSR, CAF-P581S-RUSR, CAF-P581S-AUSR, CO137-AF, CO158-AF, CO158-AF-RXB, CP258-AF.

I was afraid to use one in my small kitchen so as much as I wanted one I didn't. And I believe that was the brand I was looking at.
It's such a nice one too Kat. I replaced my Tower one with it, after reading lots of reviews and watching youtube videos of chefs who have one. What a disappointment.. . It might never go on fire, but over 250 already have so I can't take the risk.

Yes, best not to take the chance. I am so aware of fires in the kitchen since I live in a building full of people who might be cooking and not careful. I stay within eyesight of my kitchen when anything is cooking.

I bought one of the recalled ones from Amazon in June 2019. After using it twice I gave it to my son. He used it a few times and then stored it away. I just sent him the recall notice.

I bought mine from Amazon, and rather than go through the Cosori website, I've just sent a request for a return.there was no questions.. they simply sent the barcode to get it sent back. if I'd gone through Cosori, I may not have had to return it.. but I also may have had to wait a long time for a refund..so this way it's quicker, and there's no argument that I genuinely bought it just last week

That's smart. Mine was long ago. So I'll just let my son deal Cosori.
