Tuesday is bloodwork day in preparation for my fourth infusion treatment. I get one every three weeks.

Over the past two weeks I've started experiencing some of the bone-joint pain they warned me about. First my left little toe acted up and now it's the right one. Pain is severe and I find it hard to sleep. Have a phone appointment with one of my Oncologists tomorrow (I now have two working with my case...one surgeon and another overseeing my treatment). Hope they can do something about this bone pain.

Llynn..I hope that they can come up with something you can take to ease that pain... if you have no way of avoiding it as an effect of the infusion ... fingers crossed šŸ¤ž

@Llynn I am so sorry.

Husband had prostate cancer that returned. He ended up having terrible pain after his treatments the second time. There wasn’t a prescription painkiller on the market that would give even the smallest amount of relief from the pain.

They gave him IV’s of morphine, but I can’t remember at what point following the treatments.

Morphine is not the best choice, but maybe the only choice if you have someone to drive you.

I might also consider @Jules suggestion of pot ahead of morphine.

Prayers and hugs to you LynnšŸ™šŸ™

I'm so sorry for what you are going through and experiencing with the pain. I hope they can give you something that provides relief. Not counting the 4th, how many more infusions do you have to get?

I'm so sorry, Llynn, for what you are experiencing.

I get severe pain on the side of my right big toe, which had had a painful infection. Pain still lingers. I fall asleep by draping the right leg over the side of the bed, with toe dangling downward. I get almost instant relief.

I too hope they can do something about your pain. You have been a trooper and deserve some relief. 🌺

I’m sorry you are going through so much pain during your treatments. I also suggest trying pot. If you can get morphine, that’s also a good pain reliever. I send you prayers and special healing thoughts your way. Wishing you well.
