NextDoor poster wants someone to come to their house and get their kids ready for school.

I could see that working okay in a old fashioned ideal small all-the-neighbors-are-friends type situation, but to me it sounds like it ought to be something the police posted as a sting operation to find perverts.

Doesn't say how many or what age. My question is why they can't get their own kids ready for school? If the parent/s aren't going to be home, why leave kids with a total stranger? NextDoor isn't the best place to find that kind of help, IMO.
The title says get the kids get ready for school.
Maybe they will be having surgery and will be unable to do that.
Maybe they have a medical issues that gets in the way of doing that.
Who knows...

I relied on neighbors to get my kids ready for school when I was laid up for months after a car accident.

I don't know Nextdoor.

However, the willingness of mothers and fathers to have strangers take care of their most prized possessions is shocking.

I get it, like is tough, childcare is very expensive. However, if there's anything you wouldn't want to go cheap on, surely it's in the care of your kids?
The pressures of finances today is pushing people into these solutions, but I don't like it.

There's a guy on YouTube who makes videos and one of them's called beggars can't be choosers. And some of the requests people have are so outrageous that this does not even surprise me. Plus a lot of them are saying what we want babysitters at $25 to $40 a day and it was so laughable on some of them that they were saying well they don't need a lot of supervision just be there it's like good God.
