Night sweats ?

What the heck ?

I woke up about 1:00 a.m. soaking wet from sweat......the sheet under me as well as the sheet over me and the pillowcase were soaked.

The house was the normal temp., I was using the same amount of bed covering, wearing what I normally do, can't recall having a bad dream and except for feeling chilled from lying in a wet bed when I got up I felt good.

I stayed up about an hour and went back to bed in the spare bedroom and slept just fine.

Anybody else ever experience night sweats for no apparent reason ?.......what causes them ?

Problem solved.

After spending countless hours of exhausting research today pouring through numerous online medical journals I have determined that I'm afflicted with SHC (Spontaneous Human Combustion) but luckily for me I seem to have been blessed with my own built in sprinkler system.

Who'da thunk it ?......the internet is truly a marvelous thing isn't it ? :)

You're welcome Ike. They are intense when they happen, luckily I only had a couple. One was when we were out camping, and my husband woke up and made me very aware of it, very odd occurrence, but not uncommon for many.

I took black cohash and evening primrose for my night sweats.

Did you get them often Keesha, and did the supplements help you? The Red Clover Blossom was all I needed for hot flashes, they didn't disappear completely, but were greatly lessened and milder when I did get them.

My night sweats come and go, without a clue as to their periodicity. When I was a kid, my mom used to have to wake me up in the middle of the night to change my top because it was soaked through. Now, I change out my own tops.

Yes they did help a lot but I think red raspberry would have worked to and obviously red clover. It’s nice being able to share our experiences with the healing powers of herbs. They work.
