Nightmares, as in bad dreams.

Nightmares, as in bad dreams

Only one
When living at the cabin;

But, most dreams are in the weirder than weird category
Explaining them would make little sense

Some are repeats;
Like the one where I discover a beyond fantastic fishing hole
Huge salmon are rising
They're thick in the water
Only.....I don't have any fishing gear....
I go back to get my gear......and 'poof' it's over
(extra drool on the pillow)

I had some when I was much younger - mostly the kind where I was being chased. My worst one was a few years ago when my dream showed me I was in an underground parking garage and alone and a man was approaching me. I knew I was going to die as there was no one else there to help me. It took me months and months to try to forget that one dream. Needless to say...I don't go into underground parking garages very much.

Yikes!

I've certainly had dreams where I was both relieved and quite pleased (obviously), to wake up and discover they were dreams, though mostly they couldn't be described as nightmares.

It is the sort of thing where you believe logic was dictating you'd gotten yourself into a spot of bother, forgotten the wife's birthday, or your first wedding anniversary, (my own brother achieving this feat in the real, though the marriage has lasted thirty odd years and counting).

In his illustrated autobiography, "My Life in Hollywood" by Yogi B, he talks about a similar reoccurring nightmare that he had all through his professional career.
Heh, whenever I'd mention the bears that cruised our cabin, all my buds would say they were more worried for the bear.
Seems 3am was pretty regular for them
They'd mosey over the porch and head to the trash cans.

So, I built a little trash can crib.

So, they just went to the bird and chippie feeders

This big boy weighed in at 400lbs

I won't mention the wolves

I don't have nightmares. Most of my dreams are about solving some problem. Usually some problem like how to build or renovate something. Or dreams about cooking for several hundred people and my cooks are not organized. Then I have to show them how to do it.
