No Pints at Local Chinese Restaurant

I remember when there was an option of pint servings with Chinese take-out food. In the small town in upstate NY, the only one in town here sells, a la carte quarts, and what they designate as combo platters (entree with side of fried rice). If I want a half-dozen egg rolls, a quart of fried rice and a quart of Chow Fun, that's going to cost me about $25 there. What happened to pints?

There are still pints at the Chinese places here. But you remind me of one of my favorite pizza joints. They used to sell any variety by the slice. So if I wanted sun dried tomatoes, mushroom and goat cheese I could have it. The kids could have plain cheese or pepperoni and everyone was happy. Then they changed the menu...no more slices, you had to order the whole pie. I don't even know if they allow for half fancy and half plain anymore. I miss that place.

Still pints at the Chinese restaurant that delivers to us, we usually get several different dishes and eat good Chinese food for a couple of days.

I wish that we could get delivery anything, but especially Chinese; we just live too far out in the sticks...
