No store-brand soda available

I sent an email to their corporate headquarters. The response was that due to an aluminum shortage, they cannot get soda from their supplier. I am not talking about soda in cans - I am asking about 2-liter plastic bottles. So what does one have to do with the other? I wasn't aware of an aluminum shortage, but that's here nor there.

I caught something on youtube a few backs claiming that the aluminum shortage wasn't gonna affect big corporate brands like Coke and Pepsi - their coffers are deep - but small micro-breweries and the like are definitely gonna feel the pinch.

the talking head moderator went on to encourage her views to 'stock up on you beverage of choice' which only exacerbates the problem.
