Non-stick pans - HAH!

I got some "Guaranteed not to stick" frying pans. Well I decided to make fried apples. What a mess! That pan will never be the same. I tried soaking and scrubbing - it's like the apple and sugar bonded with the pan.

Try filling the pan with water, putting a cover on it and bringing it to a rolling boil for a few minutes, leave the lid on, let it cool and then wash as usual.

What kind of pan did you buy Deb? I mean, what was it a "granitestone" or copper thing or whatever?

I didn't BUY them, I just said I GOT them. I found them in my aunt's house when I cleaned it out after she passed, so they may be up to 20 years old. There is nothing on them to indicate the make and I threw out the papers that came with them.

Yeah, they may also be the "toxic, can kill the cockatoo, then you" ones they outlawed - I'd toss 'em!
