Besides toothbrushes-that was another question-what do you own that you use for other than its intended purpose?

I use the empty half gal milk jugs as sawdust scoops and oil changes.
Cut ‘em off right, they can get into the tiny areas of a generator’s oil plug

I'll have to think about it for currently, but as a teenager before they had all the products for hair, as a teenager I used to use powdered milk with water as a setting lotion. Also beer was supposed to work well.

My apartment has a large patio door that spiders and gnats somehow manage to find a way to get inside my apartment. It drove me crazy. I read that these critters don't like lemon so I have used lemon furniture polish/lemon oil all around the door frame, the screen etc. and so far this summer I've only found 1 spider in the house and I think he came in the front door so I lemoned that area up too. So I use lemon furniture polish as spider repellent.

Spray the carpeted bed (bunks) of our boat trailer with furniture polish, after we launch our boat. After the polish is dry, it creates somewhat of a slick surface for the boat to slide up on while retrieving out of the water. "Roller" type boat trailer beds only need to be oiled or greased on each end.

As well as boat polish sometimes, my wife will also apply Vaseline to polish our boat, but without the boat polish. Vaseline can really make the boat coating shine.
