Noticing numbness in my lower legs.

I started noticing some numbness in my lower legs. The muscles in the back of the legs and even the lower shin and top of my left foot.
It might have something to do with my back problem.
It kept getting worse until I decided to do something about it.
I tried the foot exercises where you wiggle the foot one way and another while leaning back in the recliner with the feet up.
That didn’t help at all so I stood up and sat down over again several times and just standing seemed to help so I walked around inside the house.
I walked to the kitchen and a kicked my feet up behind me like one of those fancy walking horses.
Then I walked across the house to the front door and back to the kitchen.
The walking helps a lot and I am getting more feeling and less tingling in my legs as I go.
I think I will do something more walking now before I go upstairs to bed.
I was beginning to think that I would have to decompress my back to get rid of the numbness.
So glad the walking helps.

Spinal decompression is easy to do at home, though. I have a cheap inversion table that helps immensely with my back and leg symptoms. I used to hang head-down on a chinning bar. Just hanging head down off the side of a bed or couch works. A slant board does, too.

But yes, walking around does work off the numbness. I also get intense, nearly intolerable burning in my legs, too, usually at night after I've slept for a few hours. Walking around the house works that off just enough so I can sit on a firm chair, which compresses my lower spine. After about 5 or 6 minutes of sitting, the burning stops.

get a medical check for safety sake?

My numbness is due to the stenosis in the L5-S1 area of my spine. Will be getting an epidural in a couple weeks which hopefully will alleviate some of the symptoms.
Mine is the L4 compression fracture.
About a month ago my left leg started getting numb and I took a regular bed pillow and layed it across the end of a dresser.
I positioned my abdomen over the pillow with the edge of the dresser beneath it and let my legs dangle in the air while stretching my arms out ahead of me.
That decompressed enough that I haven’t had any more numbness until just the last couple of days.
I appreciate so much all of you telling about your experiences with these problems.
