NY Pharmacist caught hoarding and price gouging masks/ppe for $200,000

Somewhere on this site, someone started a thread about whether people believe in hell - now, I want to believe - and I want to believe there is a special place in hell for this guy and others like him!

Par for the course; dirtbags come out of the woodwork with any bad situation. After an earthquake, people drive up & down the street, selling bottles of water for $50.00.
He won't be convicted of anything. "Supply & Demand," "Free Enterprise," "No one is forced to buy," etc. I doubt it would even get to trial.

And this guy is in the medical industry. But I also noticed he was suspected of running a pill mill around 2013 so he isn't exactly an one time opportunist. Still though.

A NYC pharmacist was caught hoarding and price gouging masks to the tune of around $200,000. He was selling $20 boxes for $400. Had at least 4,000 in one location with another 1,000 elsewhere. A 1.50 mask was selling for up to $22.

People doing this in our country can face huge fines if caught & convicted. The penalties are HUGE! It’s NOT a free enterprise to rip people off here.

Smarter than us, obviously - just learned recently that my state didn't have a law against price gouging. This is a good way to teach a lesson and a good way to boost a struggling economy - I'm a fan:

"Individuals can be ticketed $750. Offenders can also be summoned to court and if convicted and could face a maximum fine of $100,000 and one year in jail; Company directors or an officer in a corporation could face a fine of $500,000 and one year in jail. Corporations could face $10 million fine."
