Obituary for Utah Man Who Killed His Wife, 5 Children, his MIL and Himself

This is the obituary for Michael Haight who shot and killed his wife, five children and his MIL before turning the gun on himself on January 4, 2023. Apparently this was precipitated by his wife's divorce filing the previous month. Due to extensive outrage, the obituary was taken down but, like most things, everything is available somewhere on the internet. The obituary makes him sound like he was an upstanding guy, poised for sainthood. Sickens me to think of the lives he extinguished especially those of his children. May they all be resting in peace.

I remember one guy who really was a total scumbag, his family had the pastor do the service and he warned them he wasn't going to hold back. They agreed.

He basically said "He's now going to hell, instead of where people who repent are going, he deserves this for all he's done"

Finally a pastor who spoke plainly about the deceased.

I just glazed over it but WTF? What idiot in this nut of a family decided that was a good thing to write up and have published in the paper?
