I was using Tracfone's Live Chat on desktop PC.
Each time the customer service rep. sent a code to my phone by text, and each time she provided additional info by email, a notification came up at the bottom of my computer screen informing me of these messages.

This has never happened before.
I do not use wifi/bluetooth/etc., and phone isn't connected to my computer.

Can someone tell me how this happened.. and how to stop it from occurring again?

It said the info came from Norton, which is the browser I've been using, but I have no idea how to contact them to ask about it..

if you don't use wifi how are you on the internet with your computer? who is your provider? what may have happened is there may have been a system update on your computer that added this notification area. it may be down in the bottom right corner of your windows browser if that's what your seeing. there may be a little symbol showing for notifications.

if so there should be a way to click on it and open it up and enter a settings menu. if you want to pm me with the details i might be able to look something up online and help you better later.

I have a fully-wired system- computer and modem/router.

Was finally able to get ahold of someone at Norton, they said it's probably an issue with Tracfone. The person said my PC is secure, which was my #1 concern. I ordered a new phone.
