Ode To Billie Joe

Back in the day we all thought it was a baby. Never knew for sure. And you are right, very tragic.
See the next post. It appears that it was nothing, just a story. It seems like everyone has written their own story to match the song. A few even tried to commit suicide there, but didn't succeed because it's not very tall. I thought that I was missing something, but apparently not. It was just an open ended story.

My cousin starred in that movie. She is one of two cousins I have in show biz. The other one is much more famous. They are both very nice, down to earth people. That and $2.75 gives me a round trip on a NYC subway. Or bus.

I just got back in town. The backstory is really a compilation of the various takes on her song like where exactly where was the real bridge as opposed to where it was alluded to be in her song. Pundits gleefully alluded to why the river wasn't dredged because the song may have been a true account as to her life as a young girl. Also the story behind why the well visited riverside red marker in tribute to her was actually placed elsewhere and was the song about her life as a young girl in Mississippi. Outside of the strange one week marriage to casino magnate William Harrah and and all kinds of speculation as to her staggering wealth not to mention her vast real estate holdings in California. The usual myths and legends story.
