Oh friends, do I have a treat for you today! Do you like Greek food?

Pastitsio - it's been ages since I had any! Love it!

Another wonderful Greek dish is saganaki. Best made with kefalograviera cheese. If you must use feta, try Bulgarian feta, which has a lovely creaminess and less salt than the Greek or French versions. Must use ouzo to flame it, though - nothing else tastes right! Some currants, maybe slivered dried apricot or dried cranberries, and fresh, fresh, sliced bread. Yum!

I love Greek food but don't know that what I have had is the real thing. Just Greek restaurant dishes in NY.
that's the thing you never know if it's the real McCoy.

I've been fortunate to eat Greek Food in all different parts of Greece , where local dishes vary .. and in Cyprus too..

I've eaten in Northern Italy.. and in Germany.. as well as Spain, Switzerland, France, Belgium, to name a few....:D

My travel experience has been limited outside the US. I have been to Rome and various islands but the rest of the world is through the internet only. That is why I love this forum. I like to cook easy foods now and the Greek recipes look complicated to me.
