Not heard of it before.. but interestingly on that link it says that Mickle means large... well there's an old Scottish saying which is in common parlance which says ''Mony a mickle maks a muckle''...which is making the mickle a small thing...

Meikle (sic) is a fairly common place name round here eg, Meikle farm.
