Older songs or older style songs done by modern artists

I heard a couple this morning while listening to my music on shuffle that I like a lot. The first is an older style song as far as I know, the second I believe is an actual old song from the 20's being done by recent artists in a similar style.


 

I am a classic country music lover with a bit of 50s Rock and Roll thrown in. Rarely, in my opinion, do other artists do justice to the original song. I also cringe when others change the Star Spangled Banner to where it is almost unrecognizable.

A little off topic but I don't like how some artists children try and cash in by singing their parents songs and I wish the older artists would know when to call it quits before embarrassing themselves to death. Johnny Cash did that with his last album and also Frank Sinatra on stage. I'm sure there were many others.

Well I like country music (old style).. and I think I remember Dolly saying in an interview that she was Miley Cyrus's Godmother ( I wouldn't be able to pick MS out in a room with just 2 people in it).. but I remember thinking how come Billy Ray Cyrus would ask Dolly to be Godmother ...Dolly is lovely but I was just surprised that they were obviously close friends
