Errol Flynn never got over her rejecting him. She held on to her glamourous beauty for a very long time. There was a "This Is Your Life" episode for Betty Davis. Davis said outright she was very jealous of her beauty. She played in movie with Betty Davis and Joseph Cotton (Hush..Hush Sweet Charlotte) where she was a mean murdering witch. It was truly a leap from the sweet lovable character we all know.
