It would be worse if you couldn't even change the channel to be able to watch the football game you want to watch. I could live with wrong volume and not being able to change channels when the commercials start.I keep a spare on hand. Nothing worse watching a good football game and I can’t change the volume
or flip the channels when commercials start rolling.
That was it, he could not get any channel but Hulu and his home channel is Roku, not Hulu.It would be worse if you couldn't even change the channel to be able to watch the football game you want to watch. I can't get him to put anything on his phone. If it's a newer TV then you can probably download an app on your cell phone for the TV which you can use for the time being. It's not a permanent solution but hopefully would be a quick fix for now. I have the Vizio app on my phone for that very reason !
He had no idea there was even an on/off button on the bottom of the tvIt the batteries are okay, then on the front of my TV, there is an on and off button, a volume up and down button to the left of that, and a channel up and down to the right. Also there is a source button, and menu button. They don't stick out, they are flush with the TV. They are all very hard to see and may require a flashlight, but these controls would work temporarily until you can buy a new remote that's compatible with your TV.
Done that myself many times. My remote was acting up randomly. Turns out I’d put something on the tv stand that was partially obscuring where the signal was sent.
I was waiting for that one too!How come no-one has mentioned throwing it against a wall? Seems like the most obvious (over) reaction.
