On face masks

Most medical authorities now agree that wearing face masks in public is a good idea. It makes sense because we can spread virus by coughing or sneezing and even speaking because we are expelling aerosols by doing that and the mask contains it so we don't infect others. As for our own protection, I understand from medical authorities, that a mask provides 50-75% personal protection from virus spread. Wearing a face mask also prevents us from unconsciously touching our mouth or nose. Wearing glasses normally keeps us from touching our eyes.

The problem is that most people don't have any face masks on hand and there aren't any guaranteed safe ones for sale. The only option is to make our own. There are many online instructions on how to do it and the best materials to use. One suggested material was new vacuum cleaner bags.

Now they are saying we should all wear masks if we can get them. ... not medical grade, but any face cover is better than nothing.
DIY seems to be the only way to get one ASAP if you want one now. Good video @Ken N Tx

I borrowed my dog's cotton neck scarf with velcro closure to use when I go to the grocery store. Fits perfectly over my face!
Might sew an extra layer of white cotton fabric (t-shirt) inside of it for added protection. It works.

I was standing in line at the pharmacy today and the lady in front of me was giving me the evil eye because I wasn't standing six feet behind her. Six feet would have put me on the nasal spray shelf. They had the heat turned up in there, I had a sweater and a light jacket on, sweat began beading on my face. All I could think is someone is going to accuse me of having a fever. The lady in front of Evil Eye was taking longer than necessary picking up her pills and now I have to wear a face mask on top of that? Ugh!

Remember The Unknown Comic?
Guy that did a stand-up routine with a brown paper bag on his head.
Just sayin'...

Or, maybe pantyhose will make a comeback.
Yes, he was funny. I chatted with him backstage when I was on The Gong Show.
