The Bird is a Red Kite.
They migrate into England from Africa for our summer.
After a successful breeding program they have now recovered from around a dozen in the wild.To around two thousand. Some such as this one bred here stay all year round.
They are carrion eaters. But will go after small prey if the are very hungry.
