The whole family was amazing, but Barry was always the leader. I watched a really good documentary about them. At one point Maurice told about going to the movies when they were little boys and, while waiting for the film to start, someone went on stage and lip synced to a record.
They asked if they could do that the next week. The manager said, sure, so they practiced to one of their records and set off for the theater the next week. On the way, they were goofing around as usual and broke the record. They thought, oh well, we'll just sing it ourselves. They did, and the crowd loved them.
On the way home Barry said, "That's it, that's what we'll do, we'll be singers." Robin and Maurice said, "Okay." After all he was the big brother, what he said they did.
