One Third of 2019 is Already Gone

I cannot work out why the time seems to go quicker the older you get, even though you are doing less than when younger.

I was just talking to someone yesterday and we mentioned an incident and realised that it wasn't 5 years ago as we first thought, but 21 years ago... we both looked on in horror, realising that not only had that 21 years gone fast, but that the next 21 if we're spared are going to go even faster *yikes*

No mystery: As you get older, each day is, progressively, a smaller fraction of your life. As such, your experience of each new time interval is that it, in general, goes faster than the one before. I am amazed, at times (pun?), how quickly years fly by, but that's fine, with me.

When I retired in 2011,I thought the time would go slow
Boy,I was wrong because once I got into a routine of staying busy,have no clue where the years have gone.

I feel like I'm still getting over Christmas, that it was only last week I put the last of the decorations away. (I get everything back to normal between Christmas Day and New Years Day)

I was going to say the same as treeguy.....I think when we get to the point where there is more of life behind us than in front of us, time feels like it's just moving faster and faster.
